The roll-neck is winter's most elegant piece, and also its simplest. This soft, dense knit wraps the neck without tightness, follows the torso with a clean line and can be worn on its own or under a jacket in place of a shirt. Warm, understated, impeccable.

How to wear it. Under a wool blazer or a camel coat, with grey tailored trousers and loafers. Off duty, with chinos and a corduroy jacket.

Care. Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent. Do not wring or tumble dry: dry flat to keep the shape. Iron on low heat, inside out.
